The West Virginia Nursing Scholarship Program accepts applications between April 15 through June 1 each year and provides scholarships to students meeting all eligibility requirements for the subsequent academic year. After applications are received, the applicant’s institution must verify that the applicant is in good academic standing and meets the GPA requirements before the applicant may receive an award.
Awards are made through a competitive process. Complete application materials must be made by the application deadline.

Before completing the 2023-2024 WV Nursing Scholarship application, you must have a WVSAM* Account, which is NEW for this application cycle and you would not have had an account for prior year applications.
*If you do not have a WVSAM Account, you will need to create one. After creating the account, you will be sent an email (may be in your junk/spam) with a link to create your password then to log in. Once logged in, navigate to the My Applications section, click New and select WV Nursing then hit Next.
