After you Sign Up for your WVSAM account, you will be sent a Welcome to WVSAM! email with a link to create your password then you may log in. Check your junk/spam folder too! (If it’s there, move to you inbox to activate the link.)

Grant permission for us to discuss your application and more with others. Click your name under My Contact Information then click Update My Contact Information. Click Next until you get to the Parent/Guardian/Other Contact Information then enter contact information for up to two persons you want to be able to discuss your account.
Instructions to Create a WVSAM Account

*You must create a WVSAM Account to apply for HEAPS Workforce, Promise Scholarship, WV Invests Grant, WV Nursing Scholarship, WV STEM Scholarship, and Underwood-Smith Teacher Loan Forgiveness and can monitor the progress of those applications as well as Underwood-Smith Teaching Scholars applications. For details about when applications open and deadline, click Programs at the top of this page, navigate to the program name and click Apply Now.
* To apply for the Underwood-Smith Teaching Scholars Program starting July 15 through December 31 each year, click HERE. You may monitor the progress of your application by logging in to WVSAM.
* To apply for the HEAPS Grant Program, contact the financial aid office at your institution.
